Todays class was on PBU. prefabricated bathroom unit.
The lady lecturer mentioned that it was started by HDB in the 1990s, and the first private residential to use it was in 2004.
An interesting point is that of the 19 different trades done for a typical bathroom, 13 can be done off site. And based on the type of PBU, whether purely concrete or mixed with dry wall, steel frame, affects the weight from 2 tonne to 9 tonnes.
