A Thursday in May

i always wonder if i could go back in time to any of the days of the week in any of the month of a year, which will that be? would it be to relive that moment? or to change a decision made, or action done?

-to be more aware of every thought and line.

amazing how music can put one in a good mood/ this pill beats player is really good. my bday present. the playlist from W hotel is nice.

Something new i learnt fr L, was the notion of the 5 mins of stupidity. anyhow today was a calm day, the only thing was that my ps wasn't working after i tried using the portable last night. so today i started on the extended trial version in which i have 30 days, the compe deadline is in 2 weeks, so should be fine till then. At least the indesign is working from the creative cloud that i subscribe to. i added more detail today to the 3 perspectives, quite nice to do. adding mullions to glass, and furniture and trees.

today is the real midweek!

10pm all seated and relaxed and showered. had cereal for breakfast and woke up sluggishly as L had a wee early morning call. finished the colored plans today, it was good actually, little tweakings as when i colored it only do i begin to think of material and even facade. so added the little verticle slats and also the planter boxes. speaking of which i need to update the GFA to minus the planter boxes out. so the 3 perspectives were chosen, and i added more detail to all of them, namely the lobby, sky terrace and courtyard. ok now back to adding more data to the excel table.

midweek at a 9.15pm

realisations of myself come and go. today was one that made me feel like a rather dull person. in a way because it is just work, home. n when i get home, i just relax, and don't get much done. anyhow there are a few concepts i want to understand further, one of which is the concept of " vanishing points", this was a comment given by a more experience person when looking at the perspective. i also want to start an excel with a regulation notes system. ate ayam penyet for lunch today n saw an archi acquaintance, former colleague. tai seng is indeed a strange place

Monday

monday blues today perhaps. the first render of the compe was out. colored the plans when i find i cldn't concentrate on getting an axo diagram up. used the ramp plugin i googled about in the weekend, somehow the curve radius was not as neat. colored basic colors for the plan, what was missing is the shadows n walls. i don't know why today when i put together an excel charting the time spent and how i intend to spend little pockets of time, that a 12 hour work day seems to irk me. was never affected somehow, and in fact it does seem like an " early " day if i can be home by 9pm. Cant imagine france has a mandatory 35 hour work week, and anytime after is overtime.

a tuesday in May

what makes this day different from others? the alarm rang at 7.15, snooze till 7.30. had cereal for breakfast and took 2 buses to playfair road. continued on the SU when i arrived. this competition of design and build is quite interesting really. learnt alot as the contractor comes in really early, structure & M&E requirements are given and tweak right at the beginning. sometimes in these few days, can't think of any other way. there was a time when every line had to be checked before drawing, but now it gets smoother. this morning, i sat in for another project too, just to listen, it was quite enjoyable actually. spent the morning working on the plans, moving the MDF room, putting the LV switchroom next to the HT switch rooms. and moving around the risers. had dinner then continued till 9pm. even managed to have a little chat with CX. it was really nice catching up, i felt like in one of those singtel commercial. CX is doing well, has a little girl that has the cutest voice ever, and even recites a poem. all at 1.5years old. then took the bus back, and home.
